The first Indian to climb Mt. Everest as an individual, followed by 8000m peaks. Soon after this, numerous national and international awards and commendations soon followed for his achievements in training & mountaineering . But the most crowning glory for him is not the awards. In his own words, “ I’m the happiest the moment a climber reaches safely to the basecamp after a summit attempt. That is my most rewarded moment each year. And I am blessed by the mountains to say that I have put 69 people on the summit of Mt. Everest  with a 100% safety record.”
